Interesting article! Really liked the exploration of "from a certain point of view" with speaker relativity. I've really been enjoying this series. Am interested in the view that the witches viewpoint could be more peaceful than the Jedi as I've seen a few posts with that idea even though they threaten the Jedi in the first meeting, Mae uses the force/thread to hold the insect inplace when meeting Osha, and when discussing the thread Mother is demonstrating how powerful it is (which could be defensive or offensive). Hope (and assuming) we'll see more about them in future episodes.
Thanks! When you list all those less peaceful acts together, it does look a bit incriminating! I think when I was watching I had interpreted the threatening of the Jedi as defensive. Does Osha also hold onto the butterfly with the Thread at the beginning? I kind of remember she does but she doesn’t hold onto it for as long? But yes, there’s definitely room for us to find out why, as Mother Aniseya says, some would call their use of The Thread as dark and unnatural [insert Palpy voice].
Haha it was so funny since I was watching it thinking there were so many red flags being thrown around, and then one of the very first posts I saw was "oh here comes the Jedi to mess up a perfectly good group." Yeah, when Mother Koril threatened them, I was trying to figure out if she was usually aggressive, or if it was from defending the coven from the Jedi who she thinks is a real threat. Lol definitely got Palpy vibes from Mother Aniseya's line.
I'm not sure about Osha! I thought it was her at first and then when we see Mae hold the being in place, Osha yells at her to stop (and doesn't seem to want to use the force/thread during their training). My theory is the Jedi return thinking they're doing the right thing (maybe thinking they wouldn't let Osha leave?) and something happens (why Torbin felt guilty). But the layout Sol and Osha see as they escape doesn't look like it was a battle, so I'm not sure.
As usual, a fantastic read. Loved the breakdown of speaker relativism and the way this episode (and Ahsoka) proposes The Thread as an alternative interpretation of what the Jedi (and we!) have called The Force. Exciting stuff.

Aww, thank you! I appreciate the feedback because this was one of those ones where I was wondering if it would make sense to anyone else đŸ˜†
