First time listener. Long time lover of movies.

I’ve been introduced to this podcast by a mutual friends who told me we have the same insatiable appetite for movies and awards season. They were not incorrect. Right up my alley. LFGGGGGGGGG.

I hate being that guy but I also can’t help myself: can I give a shout out to Glenn Howerton in “BlackBerry” as well as Snoop the dog from “Anatomy of a Fall”…the latter of which had maybe the greatest animal performance ever and arguably the best supporting performance of the year. Also, Hong Chau in “showing up”.

Yayyyy! So glad you found us. And, haha, we do have a lot of LFGGGG energy when we talk about this stuff.

And you certainly may give a shoutout to Glenn Howerton! I haven't seen BlackBerry yet, but I think P.T. has. And SNOOOOOPPPPP! Oh why didn't I put him on my list for best supporting actor. We had an extended conversation about him on our review of Anatomy of a Fall. Maybe we can add a best animal performance category next year a la the Palme Dog.

Also, Zach Efron who I think one of yall mentioned but I’m not sure because it was during a loud part of my drive.

Yes, I think P.T. gave him a shoutout. There was actually more Iron Claw love on this episode than I would have expected. I've heard many pundits say that had Iron Claw come out earlier in the year, Zac Efron might be in the Oscars conversation.

Awww, I’m glad you like it! In general, I love jazz. And then it made sense to go for Old Hollywood vibes for the show.
